Quoth the Snark:
“Of course, you have caught me. This is what I intended. Why else would I be caught, yes? However, the question remains as to whether you have caught me or my brother? He has blonde hair you see, and it was a blonde you were chasing. I have brown hair, yes? Besides, my brother is a Boojum. isn’t that what you were looking for, yes?”
Kith Excerpt:
The White Hart, the Questing Beast, Snipes for the Snipe-Hunt, the great “here-there-be-a-dragon” of antiquity; at one time in the Matter of Britain there were creatures of the wild-ways meant to be chased. If caught, it would mean the world was changing for the better. Little of those wild-ways remain nowadays, and those once-great beasts meant to be caught have passed with them. One modern Kith, however, bears the torch of that king’s quarry long misplaced but not forgotten.
The Snark is a maddingly elusive Fae born of the mythological majesty of those heraldic conceits of yesteryear. And much like these beasts, they are nigh impossible to catch. Yet this elusiveness doesn’t stem from their rarity. It derives from their lack of cohesive appearance. As soon as one recognizes who and what the Snark is, it has already shifted appearance.
Unfortunately, this shift is rarely voluntary. Over the course of a Scene, a Snark’s appearance gradually changes. Eyes go from to brown to hazel to green to blue. Skin becomes darker or lighter by turns. After one scene, the Snark looks nothing like he did prior just one scene ago.
After the Chrysalis it seems fun to be able to hide so well. Yet the attempt to keep a strong sense of self proves difficult for the wee tikes. Only steadfastly grim resolve may maintain any identity at all. Many fall into dismal despair, a harrowing experience for those so young. Those who have succeeded are wonderfully Bugg (Unseelie) thieves and manipulators. Those who haven’t skip Bugg altogether and go right to monsters on par with Thallain.

“I said it in Hebrew—I said it in Dutch— I said it in German and Greek:
But I wholly forgot (and it vexes me much), That English is what you speak! …
…For the Snark’s a peculiar creature, that won’t Be caught in a commonplace way.
