Quoth the Effigy:

“I don’t think you appreciate what I am offering. I am presenting you with a chance to watch the world burn… come with me, I’ll let you strike the match…”

Kith Excerpt:

Scare-crows and Wicker-Folk, the effigies are born of Sacrifices made to dark Gods since time immemorial. Like the scape-goats of antiquity, their whole purpose was to suffer and burn for the sins of others. Suffering perhaps, but thriving in it, before learning to revel in it.

Madness then, has been their bread, and fear has been their drink. They are also the funnest group of Thallain that ever burnt down an orphanage.

Whispers abound as to their origins. Are they some sort of anti-Ininamae? A violent ravishing of Mannikin, Kubera and Solimond all? Or are they Ghille Dhu who have become undone, fallen to banality like sheaves of wheat in the autumn. Others posit an even darker truth. They are because. No rhyme or reason dictates an Effigiy’s faculty for madness, why should they dictate their origins? Double unseelie to a one of them, undoubtedly Thallain, the kith serve no purpose save to spread anarchy and mayhem in the name of a good time.

I ain’t so nice so be advised by pure instinct I’ve survived.
Mocking screams with laughter after you I’m coming after.”
