Everybody and their Mom know about Frosty – that jolly happy soul. Yet that happy soul is just one of the Entities that make up this famously friendly Fae Family. Not quite an Inanimae, but not fully a Kith… the Snow Men are their own type, harbingers of Winter’s Joy, and unlike their unsafe cousins the Jokul-Frosti, the Snow Men share this joy with safety and protection in mind.

The Snow-Men are both lonely watchers from fields of virgin snow and bosom buddies to gangs of winter-loving mortal children. Once the first good snow comes down, the Snow-Man has a means to be born. Each Snow-Man has a certain Frozen-Fetter that re-brings forth that magical snowy essence. These Fetters take multiple forms: stove-top hats, old ratty scarfs, corn-cob pipes, a set of big button eyes… Each Snow-Man has a different version, but all boast the same power; bringing them back year after year.

And come back they do, up to three times. That same hidden loneliness that accompanies the Snow-men on that far-away frozen field comes a lonelier knowledge. That Winter can’t last forever… so enjoy it while it is here.
